‘Concern Services for Disabled’ CSD is a philanthropic organization founded in 1998 with (late) Mr. Iqbal Khan (disabled by diabetes) once known Footballer, and Poet & Journalist Mr. Arun Dasgupta along with the promising Cricketer Mr. Biswajit Gupta Bisu (disabled by a tragic train accident). Mr. Iqbal Khan and Mr. Arun Dasgupta closely worked with Mr. Biswajit; giving his thoughts and aim a permanent structure through establishing CSD. The name ‘Concern Services for Disabled’ in short CSD was given by Professor Dr. Tofail Ahmed who is the Professor of Public Administration, Chittagong University as well as the Member of CSD’s Advisory Board. The key persons for whom CSD came into establishment are Professor Mohammed Khaled (Late), Professor Dr. Anupam Sen, Professor Dr. Jaman Nazrul Islam (late) and Professor Shayesta Khan. Their overall guidance and assistance and involvement with CSD gave the true base to the organization. After the name being determined, it was then Mr. Iqbal Khan who took the oath as the President and Mr. Biswajit Gupta Bisu as the General Secretary. CSD got into establishment in the year 1998 officially at Guptapara, Nandirhat, Chittagong. In fact since then under the supervision of the General Secretary Mr. Biswajit Gupta Bisu along with CSD’s Advisory Board has introduced its activities providing educational facility, medical treatment, supply of wheel-chairs, sewing machines and technical support for the disables and the underprivileged.

CSD consists of many selfless social workers, who are by profession- business, industrialists, doctors, engineers, teachers, poets, literalist, journalists, lawyers, sportsmen etc. They are taking active role conducting the current ‘Disabled Rehabilitation Work’ with support of the local philanthropists and the donors’ assistance.
